Sec. 26-34. – Sale and discharge of fireworks.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to fire, shoot or discharge any fireworks of any description between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m., with the exception of New Year's Day. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit possession and use of fireworks for authorized public displays.(b) The sale of fireworks within the city shall be allowed pursuant to S.C. Code 1976, §§ 23-35-10 to 23-35-170 and in accordance with the city's zoning ordinance.
